One-on-One Sessions

The structure of the one-on-one sessions is intended to give you review / feedback on your work and also set further homework for us to review.

There will be a gap of 1 week between each homework review session to give you time to practice and work on your edits. When we reconvene, it is best to collect all your questions that you had over the week as a list to ask about during our time together.

  • One-on-One Image candidate selection

  • One-on-One Setting initial Homework

  • One-on-One Homework review & further homework

  • One-on-One Homework review & further homework

  • One-on-One Homework review & further homework

  • One-on-One Homework review & further homework

In more detail, the structure of the one-on-one sessions comprise of:

Session 1: Image candidate selection

(1 hour)

Together we will look at a collection of your unedited work, and choose a selection of images as good candidates to work with. I will explain why certain images are best to choose over others. But we will take into consideration particular images that you are interested in.

Session 2: Setting initial homework

(1 hour)

Together we will then look at a subset of the candidate images and I will offer some broad suggestions as to the edits to be done. The aim of this is to give you something to work towards in the forthcoming homework sessions.

Sessions 3 to 6: Homework review & further homework

(1 hour)

In these sessions we will review your edits together and I will offer some advice and critiquing, and setting further goals for further edits, either with the existing work, or with some of the candidate images that have not been worked on.
