Every now and then, I get a little bit tired or maybe my energy levels are low. So it's always a good thing to go and cheer yourself up and be inspired. I do this often by simply visiting the TED web site. There are some amazing, inspiring talks on there, and this is one of them.
I often think that as artists (photographers), we're the biggest stumbling block to our own creativity. We put limits up, barriers, walls. I can't do what I need to do, because I don't have the right camera, I can't do what I need to do, because I've got too much on. I can't do what I need to do, because I'm busy making up excuses about not being able to do what I need to do.....
I thought this presentation was amazing. Simply because they produced something and made something that seemed impossible - possible. He also helped a trapped - locked in Artist, express himself again.
I loved Mark's ending statement. He asks himself each day "If not now, then when?" and then follows it up by "If not me, then who?"
